Hmong Green Doll

Traditionally separating the Green (Blue) Hmong clothing from the White Hmong and Stripe Hmong clothing are the indigo batik skirts. Green Hmong can be translated to Hmong Ntsuab

or Hmong Lee. Modernly the use of indigo batik is smaller and there are more red and pink colors incorporated. The top base of the skirt transitions from the indigo batik into the more modern textiles creating a striping effect with different layers of colors and embroidery. It is more common for the Green Hmong outfit to not be composed of a headpiece, however, some often wear White Hmong hats as descriptive of the wrap style with X bordering.
