Sash

Siv, meaning sash or belt, is used to keep skirts and pants up. Hmoob daw, or “White Hmong”, wear plain sashes for everyday clothing while more intricate pink and green sashes are used to adorn clothing worn for special occasions. 

The siv is one decorative element to the pant-style clothing of the Hmoob daw.
